And wasn't the Hammarlund HQ-170 offered with a one-tube xmtr inside??
Model HQ-170ACT, wasn't it?? Advertised around '63-'65?? Maybe it was a CB
crystal-controlled transmitter..that vaquely rings a bell, I think you
could select either of four channel crystals, accessible through the rear
panel behind the clock's location and a small door or something, because I
remember wondering why they didn't offer a ham-band model. I'm almost
certain that I remember seeing one of these used at Henry Radio in LA
around the mid 1970's.
