Best/worst/heaviest/etc

No comparisons to the ones offered.  Question more towards the techies who work/worked
on BA's.

My vote for most God-awfully complex mechanically (manual, not automatic) tuning (but a
sweet sweet RX!) is the ubitiquous R-390.

"Slip a gear, cry some tears" as a I heard a Navy tech say when he was commenting on
repair of the mechanicals and tuning units.

Still love 'em and if had space I'd have em. R390, sideband adaptor, speaker, and
rackmounts. ahh. now there's a REAL radioroom radio! (yes yes.. I like the SP600's too!
- calm down!)
