O.K. Paul,
Heaviest Radio to be found in a shack:
Pierson KP-81 at 120 pounds. (I don't know if this includes the
external ps).
A local ham had one of these in his shack.
RCA AR-88 at 110 pounds.
Most Expensive Radio found in a shack:
Collins KWM-380 at $4500.00 in 1980.
Collins KWM-2A with Noise Blanker at $5008.00 in 1979.
Plus the 516F-2 PS at $467.00, etc.
I believe that the Signal One sold for less than this.
For comparison, today it's the Icom 781 at $8000.00.
