Try the products sold in the grocery store under brand names like "Charmin"
and "White Cloud".  They make cardboard cylinders wrapped in a protective
coating of 250 to 1000 sheets of thin tissue paper for protection.  You may
even find an application for the paper if you are really frugal. 8^)
