I followed the correspondence regarding the hot chassis on a Hallicrafters
with great interest. I have recently restored a Heathkit GR-91, also an
AC-DC set. I changed the two conducter line cord to a three conducter. I
connected the black (hot) wire to the on/off switch the white wire (neutral)
to ground as well as grounding the green wire. From the gist of the letters,
I got the feeling this was not the correct way to wire it, yet I have had no
shocks or blown fuses. Any thoughts?
