   My impression is that rebinding books can be rather
expensive. It will likely cost less to buy copies in better
condition and leave your current ones on the shelf. Of course, if
these particular handbooks have sentimental value, it may be worth to
you whatever it costs to rebind them.
   Local public and college libraries and rare book stores may
be able to give you the name(s) of bookbinders in your area.
