Recommending tube caps (and bases ?)

The best results I have had are with super glue.  the original stuff was
made with collodion, and if anyone really wants the formula, I will post
it.  Also, a higher expense solution is the ceramic based cements sold
by Omega Engineering (www.omega.com) in their temperature section
