I picked up some Robert Dollar Company gear in a trade. Does anyone know
anything about the Robert Dollar Company of San Francisco, CA?
The thing seems to be a complete 160 meter AM station mounted in a 6
foot rack, very impressive. The Company's emblem is a big red dollar
sign, very cool. There is a 2 channel crystal controlled transmitter
with 2 matching crystal controlled receivers. Everything in the rack can
be remote controlled from a small desktop console with a sloping panel
and 2 speakers with red grilles. The transmitter consists of an exciter
strip with 2 crystals, a pair of 813s modulated by a pair of 811s, an
incredible power supply built on 1/4 inch copper plate, and a neat meter
panel in the commercial style with a row of 4 Simpson meters.
I would appreciate any information or leads on information sources about
this gear or the Robert Dollar Company.
Thanks,
Larry AD6W.
