Thanks to all--paralleling dc supplies

I want to thank all of you who took the time to respond to my post regarding
the paralleling of unlike dc power supplies. I stopped counting the
responses after number 34. In a nutshell the vast majority stated it was
very very very bad juju to do this.

When I do get the solid state amp I will probably go with several deep
cycle/RV/marine batteries in parallel with a trickle charger that will run
24/7. I rcv'd several posts from fellas that are doing this and they
maintain a constant small load and things seem to be okay. They all have the
batteries outside of the shack in a "doghouse".

Anyway tks for the great info from all. Sorry I did not respond to each and
every one of you but there were simply too many. These reflectors are a
wealth of experience and knowledge.
