4 Sale Hallicrafter SX-88, and R-46B

It would be very nice to find an SX-88 for $500.  The fact is that
unless you get one from a poor unsuspecting widow, you will pay much
more than that.  While the SX-88 is not much of a radio, it is one of
the most highly prized models among Hallicrafters collectors.

As to the value, Chuck Dachis lists it as $800-1200 in his book
published in 1996.  Since that time, I know of a few that have changed
hands for considerably more than Chuck's "high" price, and none that
have sold for less than his "low" price.

I am also convinced that Leo could get more than his asking price on
eBay.  So, as far as I am concerned, Leo has asked a fair price.  I'm
just sorry that there isn't enough in my Hallicrafters cookie jar to
afford to buy it.
