WW-II German "Panzer" Headphones

I have a pair of German "Panzer" headphones.
This pair has all the outside markings but has no German
Eagle stamped on the inside band as you normally find.
Any idea why some of these would be stamped with the
eagle and swaztika and some not?

Also, if anyone has an original plug for this set,
I'd sure like to trade for it.

Finally-- The black rubber on one of the earmuffs has
a crack and both of them are "stiff."  I asked about this
around three years ago, but thought I'd ask again
just in case something "new" has come up-
is there any way to restore plyablity to
these black rubber pieces?
