Removing labels

Fred,

Good instincts. Goo Gone is great stuff for the nasty sticky stuff that
gets left on after a price tag or similar is removed. Good for other stuff
too. Uses orange oil or some such but it is really gentle on finishes in my
experience and is one of my first choices with old gear. Not as universal
a solvent as Goof Off but it doesn't eat some paints either (Goof Off does).

Home Depot sells both Goo Gone and Goof Off in their solvents section of the
paint department.
