I just recently came in possession of an old amateur radio magazine called The
Transmitter. This issue is dated October 1926 (Vol1 Num2). The subtitle for
the magazine is "America's Amateur Radio Magazine". It was produced in Tulsa,
Oklahoma. It's a very neat magazine of about 50 pages and the same size as the
QST's of the time. Contains several pages of station pictures with detailed
description of the equipment.
My question is has anyone heard of this magazine before? This is the first one
I have ever encountered and my guess was it didn't last very long. The second
issue ran a contest to get subscribers and if a person would get 5 others to
subscribe (at $2 per year) he or she would get a one year subscription free!
