Not in the true boatanchor vein, but if you want a good stereo
'transmitter', CircuitCity out here sells a 'wireless CD player adapter'
made by Sound Feeder (SF120) for about $25 (SKU# AKN SF120).  Tuneable
over the whole FM band, has a range as-is about 3 ft.  A simple mod I
discovered (does not increase power input levels) increases this range to
about 200 ft.  Runs on only a single penlite battery which lasts many
hours.  I use it with a headphone fm radio to monitor the boatanchor rcvr
around the yard or to listen to hometown baseball games coming in over
the internet.
