Gang:

      In order to save a whole bunch more corrections
to my misinformation, it was a flight of P-38's that
shot down Yamamoto - due to communications error on the
part of the Japanese, namely, someone sent his itinerary
in the clear so the Army Air Corps flight was able to
intercept his plane.

     It was Lightnings, not Mustangs -- and my faulty
memory on my first statement - so save the responses to
the first, please!

     Neat that so many out there know...
