Receiver audio problem

Fired up a Philco 37-20 Cathedral radio today. Works but audio distorts
as volume is cranked up. Before I go crazy replacing components, what
would specifically cause this? All tubes are good and their is no hum
(bad electrolytics).

Suggestions would be welcome
