Swan 500 Oscillation Problem

Hi all - trying to resurrect a Swan 500 that worked about 6 years ago
and now has an oscillation in the receiver. The receiver is oscillating
actually sounds like a dog yelping  but could not find a dog anywhere
:-). It does receive signals.

Audio is also very distorted and replacing coupling cap to audio stage
did not solve problem. Flipping the ANL switch on,  the receiver is than
oscillating full time and no signals can be received anymore.

Anyone familiar with Swans see a problem like this? Any suggestions
would be appreciated.
