The El-Key, you may know, was either the first or second (I think
second) commercially-made keyer paddle introduced to the ham market,
back in 1960. Designed by Bob, W2AYJ, it was sold by Poucel Electronics
of Babylon, NY, for only about two years. El-Keys came in three
"flavors:" black base (by far the most common, accounting for about 70%
of all El-Keys made); white base (next most common); and chrome or
DELUXE, which accounted for no more than 10% of El-Keys made. This is
the very rare DELUXE, all-chrome version (yes, chrome uppers too!).
Very few remain in any condition. This one is excellent, with bright
and shiny base and uppers and an El-Key label nearly like new. Of
course it works perfectly, with the smooth action for which El-Keys were
famous. $195 + $5 to ship firm, sorry no trades. Tks es 73! Jan N0JR
