NEED HELP ON IF FILTERS

Brad Thopmson has some inexpensive Murata ceramic 455Khz filters
or you can easily pad BC-453 IFs to 60Khz if you have the room. I don't
think there is enough room to make a 60Khz IF in 3/8" sq cans and they
must use ferrite cores (powdered iron does not have the high mu). The
other possibility is to use a higher "Q" 455 IF transformer ....but they
are
probably pretty good in that HRO. That's from a time when LC circuits
had to really do their job.
