15 meter transmitter?

Thanks to all who suggested I not be so naive and to think of the "transmitter" as something else. Easy enough to figure out. With a grid dipper, the input and output tank circuits dipped from 15 clear through to ten meters. Slightly below 10 meters, the tuning capacitors were half meshed! Surprise! Into a dummy load with 4 watts from my station rig set at the low end of 10 meters my "transmitter" would yield 250 watts on low power and 650 watts on full power. Looks like a natural for 12 or 10 meters, with a lot of low pass filtering following ! Gosh all gee, this thing could be used illegally on the 11 meter band! Curses!! Seems to be built a cut above some i've seen, heavy as all he....! Thanks again gang, my brain had taxied out to the end of the runway and ran out of gas! Fred W7PRV
