What radio did ALF use?

It also could have been an L44BBB (450 - 470 MHz) or
any of the T1200 series remotes since all of them used
the same style cabinets and front panels.

When I owned the Motorola reconditioned equipment
center for the south-central US, we repainted and
reused the cabinets for the L41, L43, and the L44, the
T-1200 series, as well as all of the front panels that
could be used on all of the models. The T-1200 series
actually had a slightly different cabinet that was
open at the back and had a screw attached plate that
went across it. The base stations had a one-piece
cabinet with a perforated back to allow air flow.
