ARC-5 query

I should know this but have forgotten.  I have a so-so 3-6 mhz command receiver. I also have a real wreck of a .5 to 1500mhz ditto. Can I exchange the tuning capacitor bank, the I.F.'s and the plug-in coil set, and the dial and have a broadcast band radio? Fred W7PRV
