It seems I may be getting somewhere with this broadcast band coverage with the coils, I.F. cans and variable condenser being used in a 3 to 6 mhz. receiver. A more sensible approach would be to just exchange the I.F. cans and the coils in a 190 to 550 khz receiver as they have the same number of fixed plates in the tuning variable as the b'cast. band radio ie, 11. The 3 to 6 receiver has 9 fixed plates. I will give that a try. Fred W7PRV
