TR-4C Help Needed

Fellas, I need some direct experience assistance with my TR-4C.

Question 1.  Is a 6JB6A interchangeable with a 6JB6 in the TR-4C?
Question 2.  Any hints on removing the PTO cover on the TR-4C ie the two
retainer clips.  Need to tighten up the up and down play in the PTO
tuning shaft.
