Factory wired Valiant

Hello all,

I have a Johnson Valiant transmitter that has a number
of the tube sockets secured with rivets.  Rivets are
also used to secure some other components to the
chassis.
Is this an indication that this is a factory wired
unit and not a kit built unit?
What are the indications of a factory wired unit?
