MERCURY BATTERIES

In rummaging around my junk box (basement) I found some mercury
batteries.
They are similar to a AA buthave snap connectors on each end, the voltage
is 9.8.
The meter says that is what they are.
        Dr. Barry??
Does any one know the shelf life of those things?
I have about 10 of them, any one need some?
