Some use an end fed wire, usually to the vertical stab, most have a e-field
probe either trailing from a wingtip, or facing forward at the top of the
vertical stab. Some use the "towel bar", and there is also increased us of
dielectric patch antennas on the skin, especially along control surfaces.
