Vintage Wattmeter For Sale:

This wattmeter is made by M.C. Jones Electronics Co. of
Bristol, Conn. It is called a MicroMatch, Model 263.3.

It is a wattmeter that covers frequencies from .5 to 225 Mcs.
Yes, it says Mcs, and not MHz. From the looks of it, I would
guess that it is slightly post WW II vintage. It has the same
type of styling as General Radio, Millen, Measurements Corp,
and similar test equipment of that era. The case itself is gray
crinkle, with a black face and meter.

The unit is in two parts. There is a sensing unit that is
similar to the pick up unit that E.F.Johnson used as a remote
pick up for the Matchboxes, except this remote pick up is
a bit larger in diameter, and about half as long. The meter
itself has 10, 100, and 1000 Watt scales in both forward and
reverse. It is connected by a cable about 3 feet long, that
has a 1/4 inch plug that plugs into the remote pick up.

Cosmetically, it is not perfect, but it is exceptionally good for
its age. The paint looks very good. There is slight wear around
the switch. Electrically it works, although I have not checked
its calibration.

$60 plus shipping from Florida.

Thanks.

73,

Ken, W8EK
