What BA's Use the 2625w Tube?

I suspect you mean 26Z5W rather than 2625W, in which case a common use 
for the tube was in the R-390 family of receivers which used two of 
them. The tubes are nearly "unobtainium" and expensive when you do find 
them. I replaced them in my R-390A by simply soldering a couple of 
1N4007s to the appropriate pins on the bottom of the tube sockets. Works 
fine.
