400 Watts from an 837 tube

HEY ... when I was a novice licensee in high school, a couple of older 
friends who had general licenses were fooling around
one day and decided to see if they could get a KW out of a pair of 1625 
tubes...      They did ... for about 15 seconds before
meltdown of the plates   HI HI.
