Restoring Brushed Chrome Gonset Knobs?

Is there a tried and true way to restore the
appearance of the brushed chrome knobs used
on the Gonset G-66/G-77/G-76 rigs, please?

Some are just tarnished from sitting around.
A few have some pitting and/or marks from
someone being too aggressive with a wire brush.
