RME Paint

I am in the middle of restoring an RME HF 10-20
converter and the cabinet needed a new wrinkle and, of
course, a new top coat. The wrinkle was no problem (I
do it using Rust-Oleum American Accents Stone
Creations). Now I usually get my paint computer
matched from Sherwin-Williams and use a paint gun.
But, my wife and I were at WalMart this morning and I
just happened to see a Krylon spray can that seemed to
"look" pretty close to the RME cabinet. So, I spent
the $2.99 and brought the can home.
Well, the color is a perfect match to the color on the
panel under the trim (where it hasn't been affected by
light over the decades). It is slightly different
from what has been exposed to the sun, etc., for many
years, but that is the "faded color" and not the
original color.
The color is the same on most of the older RME
receivers as well as converters like the VHF-152 /
VHF-152A, the older preselectors (the ones in the
large cabinets), etc.
Anyway, the Krylon number is 1608 and the name is
"Smoke Gray Gloss".
