I forgot to mention that the RBS-(*) is otherwise identical to the RBM-(*)
receivers electrically, there are minor cosmetic differences. The RBS-(*)
is a shipboard receiver, the main difference is in the power supply, in
that, that the RBS power supply has an additional push-pull audio
amplifier built into it to boost the audio to a higher level, for the high
ambient noise environment of shipboard use (usually as monitoring
receivers on the bridge). The external audio amp is not necessary for
regular shack use...
