Smallest Dual-6146 HF Transmitter?

A nice rig but (according to my sources) not what Doc is looking for. The G-76 only has a single tube output (a sweep tube, I believe) and does not have high level modulation. The problem, I think, is that plate modulated 100W category rigs were sort of in the 'pre-SSB' era (also in the 'pre-lightweight' era for that matter!) - up to the mid-50's or 60's you found the Viking I and II, the DX-100, Collins 32V series, etc. All large, big and really wonderfully built rigs - big finals, mostly plate modulated, etc. Then we transitioned to the SSB era and the lightweight era where AM tended to be done at low level (since SSB required (usually) a mixing scheme) and weight (and customer requirements!) made high-level modulation an impossibility.

The closest thing to what you are looking for is probably a Gonset G-76.
