250TH tube socket question

... Just about anything ...

They are "jumbo 4 pin" sockets and appeared in the '20's. Usually has a
skirt and bayonet for location.

Probably 75% of the tubes with plate dissipations 50 - 200 watts
designed between 1930 - 1940 had that base. Plus rectifiers like 872 &
575. Eimac probably went to the highest dissipation tube with a Jumbo
base with the 450TL/TH. Anyone know of a higher rated tube with a jumbo
base?

The STC 55 kW mfbc transmitters in service in Australia 1958-1990 had
several 450TL in the pre-driver stage. Seriously sexy bottles.

Subject: [BOATANCHORS-TEMPE] 250TH tube socket question

I will have a pair of 250TH sockets soon. I don't have any tubes. What
else do these sockets fit?

Would anyone happen to have a 250TH in good condition to sell or donate
to a poor sucker like me? hi hi...

Many thanks,
Mike
