What's even more special is that none of them could be brought up to
spec when completed and had to be slapped around to do so. They're not
'Fowler-built-from-scratch' either, but assembled from old stock
modules and the likes. You could buy an older example and get a much
better receiver, it would just lack the bragging rights. And of
course, we all know that bragging rights are what really define the
value of an old radio. *cough*

At least it's an actual, verifiable receiver - more than can be said
for the 'intelligence-agency-black' fairy tales. (o:
