Some pointers. I haunt an appliance store shipping dock near here. All sorts
of rigid foam shapes and sizes, L shapes stuff, sheets, large and small,
bubble wrap, and heavy boxes.
Another thing, Peanuts. Properly corralled and used they are great. Save the
plastic grocery bags, put in a coffee can or 2 of peanuts and tie the
handles together. Makes a great pillow that will conform to odd shapes and
still stay quite rigid. Stuff won't work thru the pillows to the bottom of
the box.
I have made over 1000 shippments, to 26 countries and have never had a piece
damaged. (Knock on wood). Some of it was delicate test and lab equipment.
Locally, USPS, then Fedex ground give me the best service. There again you
have to pack it like the Sampsonite gorrilla was going to handle it.
Thanx
