Re-chroming a Gonset G-66B Faceplate?

Well, that looks like an interesting restoration task to undertake! Chassis of both look reasonable but the front panels are certainly toast. You should be able to find some local shops that can do a replating job for you. Lot of hand work in getting everything smooth but it should look outstanding when done.

Subject: [BOATANCHORS-TEMPE] Re-chroming a Gonset G-66B Faceplate?

Anyone experience with re-plating or polishing-to-shine a
Gonset G-66B receiver?

I have pictures of the rig here:
http://bibleseven.com/knight-t150a.html
(Scroll down below the modulator and T-150A to the G-66B)

Note where the seller scraped some of the surface rust
with his fingernail. It *may* be possible to buff or
polish clean but I am guessing that it will never look
mirror-shiny unless stripped and re-chromed and re-labeled.

Sure would appreciate the informed wisdom of the list!

Once cleaned and restored this will be paired with my
Knight T-150A.
