It looks like Heathkit manuals are no longer available for download on BAMA or any other sites. Copyright issues.

Geez, it looks like the old manuals are becoming subject to the same fate as 78 rpm records and antique sheet music.   You can reference it in a library and listen for your own enjoyment, but cannot pass anything along to anyone else without reimbursing the author or artist (or the descendants), even if it has passed beyond the original copyright protection.   The Assoc. of Recorded Sound Collections (ARSC) and library groups are fighting this right now.

What it means is that you basically cannot copy or otherwise represent intellectual property without permission or payment.   Of course the weak point in all this is the inability to effectively enforce the laws.   It seems to be in the same realm as ripping the tags off a mattress.  As usual, the only individuals who benefit from all this are the lawyers.
