Mercy Sakes......

Why is Don not entitled to seek a return on his investment?  We don't even
know his full plans and already he's being called all kinds of names, e.g.,
"vulture".  Tom is right when he says the new owner can do what he pleases
but Tom says Don will prey upon us hams for whatever he can get out of us.
Sounds like an assumption not based on facts.  Don seems like a reasonable
person to me.  Why would he put himself in a situation where he kicks all
his potential customers under the bus?  Maybe he will lose money.  Maybe he
just wanted to save the history.  Maybe he thought he could make a few
dollars and provide a service to the Heathkit community.  Maybe, Maybe,
Maybe.  

I think we need to put down our weapons and torches, step back, take a deep
breath and observe what unfolds.

Although I agreee with the premise that the owner has the right to do as he
pleases it seems that the new owner is a vulture preying on us hams for
whatever he can get out of them. That is his right and the American way.

Protesting is also part of the American way and I am writing him an email
advising that I have no intention to buy any of his products or services and
I suggest that others do the same in an attempt to get him to modify his
position.
