Chris,

I am a big fan of the HT-37. It was my first SSB transmitter in the 60s 
(http://www.qsl.net/k4mo/Early.html). I worked over a hundred counties with 
it.

It has no PTT in the stock configuration, just VOX. When it is working 
properly it transmits a great sounding signal. It is a phasing type 
trasnmitter, so there are carrier balance adjustments on the front panel 
that aren't on crystal filter rigs (I think). I beleive it's big brother, 
the HT-32, was crystal filter.

If you get a good one you will have lots of fun with it.

Hello All

 Can any one tell me a little about the HT-37 SSB rigs, I have been wanting 
to pick up a vintage SSB rig to use along side all my AM/CW gear but have 
not as of yet, Is the HT-37 a descent SSB rig to get and use....Please let 
me know  your thought on this any and all would be greatly
