diffrence between the 3-500Z and the 4-250A

hi Phil,
I'd suggest that you download the spec sheets/charts on each, and you
should see the major differences immediately, and the minor with some
inspection. 1. the 3-500 is a triode, the 4-250 is a pentode. 2. the
plate dissipation of the 3-500 is (nominally) 500 watts, and of the 4-250
it's only 250 watts. The 4-250 could be connected as a triode, there are
many 4-400 amps running that way. They're not directly interchangeable. If
you're planning on building anything I suggest that you do some reading.
