Fischer Transmitting Tube

I have a tube that I thought was an old Taylor tube.

Marked on the glass is Fischer Chicago, Illinois and the tube number is 
3581. Looks like an 805 but a bit larger.

Anyone ever heard of the Fischer Tube company? A google search turned up 
nothing.
