Hi,
Gonset did it, with single band rigs for 2, 6 & 10 meters.
Cosmophone did it, but also had SSB, don't know if they were hi-level AM
modulation or not, but did put out respectable signals on AM. Marty, AA4RM,
probably has one on for CX today. Eico did it, but in SSB rigs, low level
mod I'm pretty sure, and low output
Probably some others.

Al, W8UT

Subject: [BOATANCHORS-TEMPE] AM Xcvrs ??
Fellow BA-ers ...
Is there such a thing as an AM/CW (only, i.e. SSB-less) XCVR? Lots of SSB
rigs (incl my 20+ yo BB rice box) have AM capability as a "second language"
but really don't like the mode on xmit. All AM rigs I ever knew about were
Milsup sep units.
Tnx & 73 to all,
Bob AG5X
