Eveready AC receiver

A  lot of vintage consumer radios such as the RCA Radiola 26,  had the power 
supply and audio amplifier on a separate chassis within the cabinet.  This 
allowed the manufacturer to offer different power supplys with the receiver 
chassis, such as an AC option or a 6 volt "farm radio" for areas not yet 
electrified. I suspect that this is what you have, hence it may have a name 
tag listing it as an "Eveready AC receiver"

This link below is to an article that I wrote about the Radiola 46 a few 
years back, it contains a picture of such an application. The R-26 used a 
single 45 and a type 80 rectifier
