Be careful of using Deoxit on fiber wafers. I didn't and now I'm looking for
a band switch for my 32b. Deoxit my be ok if one uses the needle applicator
instead of the spray.

Geez, this stuff is expensive! Is it really that much better than other
brands? I have a gen. comm. rcvr whose bandswitch wafers are literally black
with oxide. Using "brand x" contact cleaner and working the switch back and
forth many times hasn't fully restored function. On a similar case, I had to
scrape the "black stuff" off the wafers to get operation back. Would DEOXit
have done any better?

Tnx,

Bob AG5X
