[Boatanchors] Can a 12EL6 mostly replace a 6T8 in a Superceiver?

I'm looking at converting a Gonset Superceiver to all Space
Charge 12v tubes to match my Super 12 converter.

The 6T8 circuit is hard for me to even sort out let alone to ID
a workable replacement - no single Space Charge tube appears
to match the Triple-Diode + Hi-Mu Triode combo.

What about using two tubes, e.g. a 12EL6 and some other low
voltage tube with a diode section?

The OB2 socket will be empty but will be used for an extra audio
output tube for a dual-12K4 audio output - replacing the 6AQ5.

The 6X4/12X4 socket will be empty, as will the vibrator socket -
so there is room for a second tube to handle the extra 6T8 tasks.
