  What about a 4D32, they are still available at a reasonable price after the Government cleared out their
warehouses after Desert Storm. 50 Watts plate dissipation and 6.3 volt filaments.

The Motorola Motrac series used the 5894 and then the 8643 as the final amplifier.  Also, the Hallicrafters HA-2 and HA-6 transverters use the 5894.

There are a lot of 5894 tubes around.  As such, they are not priced out of reach for most amateur radio operators.

I have a Johnson 6N2 that uses the 5894 ...
A really cool VHF tube...
remember the Motorola or GE High Band mobiles that put the 5894
in a metal heatsink ?
