Boatanchor Items For Sale:

HF High Power Antenna Tuner, Linear Amplifier,
Grid Dip Meter, CW items, Communications
Speakers, Foot Switch, Wattmeter/SWR Bridges,
Power Supply, Low Pass Filters, Coax Connectors
and Adapters, etc.

Tokyo High Power HC-400L Antenna Tuner:

The HC-400L Antenna tuner is built with the quality
that Tokyo Hy Power is known for. Tune/load variable
capacitors have dial controls with a 6:1 vernier drive.
There is a band switch for all bands 160-10 + WARC.
It has a meter showing Forward Power (500 Watt and 50
watt scales) and SWR.

There is an internal low power Dummy Load. The tuner
is conservatively rated for 350W PEP (100W on 160M)
and supports three antenna outputs including
balanced-line out.

This is a great tuner. This one works 100% and looks
very close to new.
With paper work for $200.

MFJ 984 Versa Tuner IV High Power Antenna Tuner:

MFJ says this will handle 3000 Watts PEP. Since the legal
limit is half of that, you should be fine at legal power.

It covers 1.8 to 30 MHz with 250 pf 6kv caps and matches
anything you want to throw at it, or so it seems.
It also includes an RF ammeter at the output of the tuner
so you know how much actual RF current you are putting into
the antenna. There's a wattmeter/swr bridge built in along
with a small dummy load.

It has rugged heavy-duty construction. Switches are rated for
2000 Volts and 17 amp carry capacity. There's a 4:1 balun and
real ceramic feed through insulators.

This particular unit works fine. The case looks very nice.
There is slight wear on the front panel, and one small scratch
that you can see if the light is just right.

Paper work is included for $200.

Amp Supply LK-500 Z A, HF Amplifier:

The LK-500 is an HF amp that runs a pair of 3-500 tubes, on
the 160 thru 10 meter bands, producing close to the legal
limit. On this amp, 30 watts of drive produces about 400
watts out of the amp; 50 watts gives about 650 Watts out;
etc.

This amp has a MUCH heavier duty Peter Dahl power transformer,
and covers 160 meters. It has a excellent tuned input matching
circuit. It is a superior amplifier.

This particular amp works very well. It has a manual step
start circuit added, and the electrolytic capacitors have
been replaced. Cosmetically it looks very, very nice. I
can not find a scratch on it. It looks like new.

Since this is heavy, I would much prefer pickup in the
Ocala, FL area.

With paper work for $900.

Heath GD-1 B Grid Dip Meter:

At one point, this was the "standard" grid dip meter,
used by almost everyone for boatanchor rigs.

It covers 2 to 250 MHz, with five coils. All five coils
are included (even the little piece of wire that is the
100 to 250 MHz coil).
The box that holds the coils is original and in good
condition.

Paper work is included for $45.

Morse Code Items:

ARRL Morse Code Exam CD
5 WPM version, sent at 15 WPM, but spaced for 5 WPM, with
750 hz tone $7

Cable for straight key
About 3 feet long, with a mono 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) phone
plug on it, as used with a straight key. $5
As above, but 1/4 inch plug. $5

Cable for paddles
About 3 feet long, and with a 1/8 inch (3.5 mm) stereo
connector on the end, like used by most rigs. $8
As above, but 1/4 inch plug. $8
As above, with 1/4 inch GOLD plated plug. $15

Communications Speakers:

Realistic 21-549 A
This speaker is about 4 inches square and about 2 inches
deep. It is rated for 5 watts, has an 8 ohm impedance, and
is listed as a 300 to 3000 Hz frequency response, making it
ideal for communications. It has a 3.5 mm (1/8 inch) mono
plug, as used by most modern rigs. Gimbal mount included.
It is black in color, looks great, and sounds great. $15

Vanco SPB-5
Appears to be the same at above, but with a Vanco label.
Also includes gimbal mount. $15

Vanco SPB-6
Similar to SPB-5 above, but is considered a noise
cancelling speaker. 10 Watt rating. Still in original
box, new. $18

Foot Switch:

This foot switch appears to be cast aluminum,
and fairly heavy duty. It has a 1/4 inch plug
on it, as used by most foot switches, and as
is provided for on most of the Heil cords.
The cord is about 4 feet long, and is rubber
covered. $15

MFJ 815 B Cross Needle Peak Reading HF Wattmeter:

This HF Wattmeter is a cross needle meter that reads forward
and reverse power simultaneously, also displaying SWR.
It has 300/3000 Watt forward and 60/600 Watt reverse scales,
and is a peak or average reading meter that covers 160
thru 6 meters. 12 V DC is needed for the lighted meter.

This particular unit works fine, and looks very close to new.
With paper work for $60.

Daiwa CN-520 "Cross Needle" wattmeter:

This wattmeter covers 1.8 to 60 MHz, and is the "cross needle"
type, so it reads SWR at the same time it reads forward and
reflected power. Since it covers 6 meters in addition to
the HF bands, it is ideal for some of the newer rigs that
include 6 meters.

Forward scales of 2000 W or 200 W; reflected 400 W and 40 Watts.

This one looks very nice and works like new,
with the paperwork for $60.

HF and VHF SWR Bridges:

All of these cover from 3 thru 150 MHz, covering HF,
6 meters, and 2 meters. SO-239 connectors in and out on all.

Royce 2-100 Single Meter SWR Bridge / Field Strength Meter
This one works fine, and looks extremely nice. I do not see
any scratches on it, but it does have a previous owner's
name on it.
In its original box with original instructions. $25

Heath AM-2 SWR Bridge:
This SWR Bridge matches the DX-40, although it can be
used with any HF or VHF transmitter. It is about 8 inches
wide and 4.5 inches high, with the meter in the middle,
and a gray colored knob at each side near the bottom.
This particular unit works fine and is in very good shape.
Paper work is included for $25.

Waters "Universal Hybrid Coupler II" Model 3002:

Most of us would likely call this a phone patch, but it
is really much more than that. It does that, but also
will interface with a tape recorder, and permit recording
and play back of on-the-air QSOs. Nothing says that the
tape recorder input/output must be used that way. Connect
the sound card in your computer in this position, and you
have a very effective interface.

Model 3002 includes a speech compressor powered by a 9
volt battery. The front panel is finished on both
sides, with one side having it set in a horizontal
position, and the other in a vertical position.

This was a "top of the line" unit years ago. One only
found them with top stations such as Collins.

This particular unit is in really great condition.
No scratches.

With paper work for $100.

Astron RS-20A Power Supply:

The RS-20A is a DC Power Supply producing 13.8 V DC (internally
adjustable from 11 to 15 V DC) at up to 16 amps continuous and
20 amps ICS. The RS-20 features crowbar over voltage protection
and fold-back current limiting to protect your equipment.

This particular supply works fine, and looks very close to new.
There is one very small scratch that can be seen if the light
is just right, but is not normally visible.

With paper work for $60.

Low Pass TVI Filters For Sale:

A low pass TVI filter is added to the transmitter to reduce
harmonic interference. All have SO-239 connectors, and are
50 ohm filters.

The first one works on 6 meters as well as HF:

Drake TV-5200-LP Low pass TVI filter
This is the filter that may also be used on the low end of six
meters, as well as HF. It is good for 1000 Watts "average" below
30MHz, and about 200 W up to 52 MHz. It is the newer version
of the TV-1000. $30

Bencher YA-1, high power, low pass TVI filter
If you need a heavy duty filter for the output of your amplifier,
this one is ideal. It will take full legal power plus, and has at
least 80 db signal attenuation at TV channel 2. This one works
great, and is in its original box.
Bencher currently sells these for about $90. Only $60.

Bencher YA-1
As above, not in original box. $45

B & W FL-10/1500
This filter cuts off just above 10 meters, and handles 1500
Watts. It is the latest model B&W filter. In very nice condition,
it looks close to new. $40

Johnson 250-20 Low Pass Filter
This is a 52 ohm cylindrical low pass filter with a cut
off frequency of 45 MHz and 75 db of attenuation.
It is rated to take 1000 Watts of AM, or 5000 Watts
