[Boatanchors] Stuck Slugs In IF Cans

Had a very rusted 1940's vintage AM Philco radio that I thought would
present an issue with this. All IF can slugs turned easily.
Key I think would be to run the alignment. If things look good, 'don't fix
what ain't broken'.

Gary,
I have not yet had to deal with this (crossed fingers) but I was wondering
if a little gentle heat from a hair dryer might help? Probably would not
want to overdo this, but maybe the thermal expansion would break things
loose.

I haven't fought this battle much. What is the current thinking on breaking
stuck slugs loose?
